Kacey has worked on Xaya VII for years and she is okay. It's an isolated moon, months away by shuttle from the nearest station, and she is stuck here. The researchers and employees that work with her get to leave and return to civilization after a few years of service and she is, mostly, okay with the ephemeral presence of the people around her. But when one of her few friends, the lone doctor, goes missing along with two others, the base scrambles to figure out what happened, and Kacey finds herself less and less okay with what's going on. Ari is comfortable being the only doctor on Xaya VII. It helps that they have an amazing team on base. But when they are uncharacteristically chosen to lead a routine mission to a nearby ARC, mysterious conditions draw them and their team into a dangerous threat that Ari has not been trained for. Can they keep their team safe from the unknown? Kai has disliked every day he has spent away from his family, but as chief engineer in the middle of nowhere he is inundated with hazard pay that makes his three year commitment tolerable. He's almost at the end, but he's starting to get headaches and the base's artificial intelligence keeps flagging his medical file. He just has to keep it together a little longer. But then a team goes missing... The moon hides a secret that may pull the base apart or kill them all. New chapters guaranteed every Monday. Sporadic additional updates throughout the week.

Glimpses of hope are often hard to spot in the darkened society of The Broken Citadel, a place situated in the far midst of the universe, remaining mostly untouched and undisturbed by anyone other than the citizens of the citadel itself. The inhabitants of this dystopian living environment are anything but free willed, consisting of blissfully unaware enslaved humans and aliens alike, held firmly under the thumb of their cruel and manipulative leader Victor Colton, a crazed hybrid with a sadistic desire to acquire a dominant hold upon those within his reach. Yet when there is deception, suspicion arouses, and when there is suspicion, resistance forms. Due to increasing uprisings and protests from a group of rebels which is quickly growing in number, Victor struggles to uphold order in the citadel, and his livelihood is at risk of crashing violently to the ground.

In the year 2325, the world is at a loss -- poverty littered the planet and the few cities still habitable were overpopulated. Earth wasn't the only planet like this. Venus, Mars, and planets out of the solar system were just as (if not more) run down as Earth -- all thanks to the Universal War two hundred years ago. The ones in power now were only after one thing -- immortality. They thrived off of the life source of others, constantly absorbing the energy from species all around the universe. It's up to six unlikely strangers to come together to change the universe and protect the souls of the ones they love.

In 2042, Japan's Neon District is infamous for its vast industrial and cybernetics industries, but it is also known for the Syndicate with its hackers, assassins, spies, and wanderers with no where else to go. Yuka Hara works for the Syndicate as their primary hacker where her current objective is to bring down the District's corrupt government led by Mr. Propaganda aka Eiji Okamoto. That is where she meets Sam Farrow, an immigrant from America trying desperately to not become another one of the citizens left in the dust on the streets. With the help of the Syndicate and someone from the inside, can Yuka bring the Neon District out of corruption from the inside out? Cyra is trying to escape from her luxurious prison of a life. Rin is trying to escape from all the people trying to kill him. The only way they can be free is to escape the planet Candalis-to make it from Austral City, the enormous polar metropolis, to the starport at the burning equator. To do so, they will have to survive everything a murderous government can throw at them as well as the harsh environment of Candalis itself. And they will have to trust each other, which is harder than it sounds. Because Rin has a power that is whispered about in legends, and the legends say that it makes a person into evil incarnate. This book is the first part of a trilogy that I will probably never finish, but the ending is just enough of a resolution that I thought I should post it here anyway. It was originally conceived as a sort of cyberpunk Star Wars.
