Ben Blazze is a pre-teen of alien origin who needs to organize a jungle expedition and confront dangerous bandits to try to find his missing father. An ordinary, orphaned, poor boy: everything Benjamin Blazze believed to be was wrong. VERY wrong. Ben spent his first 12 years in a small village in the Amazon Rainforest. He didn't know his father. His mother had died a few years earlier, when he was left alone with his stepfather - an evil and ignorant man. In a twist of fate, his paternal grandmother (whom he didn't even know existed) appears and wins the right to his custody in Court. He moves to a big city and finds out that, despite all his miserable life before, he is the sole heir to a great fortune. Besides, Ben no longer finds himself alone as he gains the company of valuable, and slightly quirky, friends. But it doesn't end there. This is just the beginning of a fantastic story: in a series of strange events, Ben finds out that there is a good chance that his father is alive and held prisoner by a dangerous 8,300-year-old villain - who is trying to get hold of some necessary powerful artifacts to rule the Earth. Can Ben and his friends unravel the mystery of his father's disappearance?

Valentine has awoken with nothing but a name. Note awakens with nothing but a doctrine. Each has found themselves in Spectra, a strange galaxy with a unique and mysterious history. Spectra is home to many different forms of life, all of whom revere a long-dead race of beings they call the Architects. Though they are now gone, there are still remnants of them left behind in the forms of their creations, the Sentinels, autonomous drones that enforce tenets all must follow. Then there's the enigma of Eden, an unknown anomaly in the center of the galaxy which the Sentinels fiercely protect. As Val and Note are hunted down by a species of gene-splicers known as the Cell for reasons as of yet undiscovered, it will only be through the friendships and alliances they forge that they'll survive. They'll find purpose in one another through exploring the wonders of Spectra, taking it upon themselves to stop the Cell, and unraveling the hidden truth of their origins.
