I was never capable of creating relationships with people. I could never connect with anyone or anything but animals, horses in particular. My horse became my home, the only thing that gave me the feeling of being intertwined with reality. The day I lost my horse to a violent and sudden colic was the day my world completely fell apart. The longer he was gone the more isolated I became. I more than desperately needed something to change my life.
