Remus and Romans parents were killed in a car crash while their mother was still pregnant with them but fortunately they survived and were placed in the orphanage. Logan was the son of a scientist who unfortunately died in a mass shooting and Patten had never known his birth parents because he was left on the door step and was taken in.
