Ever since people could remember only men were allowed to enter the House of Beardsley, but for the first time four young girls with nothing in common have been hired to work in the mansion as live-in housekeepers. Shuyan, a Chinese orphan living in Victorian England, has always had a hard time finding a job, so she applies without much thought to the infamous House of Beardsley. Her co-workers, Bethany, Clo, and Rhiannon, on the other hand, seem to have no desire to work. Although they have been warned to keep their contact with the seven men of Beardsley as minimal as possible, Shuyan comes close to overstepping the boundaries when she makes contact with the crippled and gentle master Eugene. When she finds out the girls are hired for a much more sinister reason from the cold and mysterious Tobias, will she choose to stay in the House of Beardsley? More importantly, with each secret she unearths and relation she makes will she be able to leave...? #1 in Victorian-era (1/31/20) #1 in Asiansinlit (2/13/20) #1 in nobility (2/25/20) #1 in Edwardian (3/31/20) #1 in earl (4/22/20) #1 in Asian (8/9/20) #1 in gothicromance (1/4/21) #2 in debutante (4/18/20) #2 in regencyromance (10/3/20) #3 in Victorian (2/20/20) #1 in gothic (9/7/24)

[Formerly Featured!] Coming back from a vacation, with a gun pointed at her head was definitely not what Jean Saunders expected. Especially seeing a man flying around in the air, claiming to be the city's superhero. At least he wasn't wearing that embarrassing spandex outfit. Alas, due to her capability for getting into trouble, the city's superhero eventually recognises her and not in a good way, at all. Catching a superhero's attention is never a good thing. -------------------------- Opening and closing his mouth, he made some gestures as if he was trying to speak but he couldn't find the words to convey his message. "...what are you?" He finally managed to speak and I blinked my eyes at him. The heck? Does he think I am some sort of...alien? It's not like I'm some kind of weird species! What the heck does he think I am? "I'm human!" I said, narrowing my eyes at him. --------------------------

This is the one where the principal gets his jollies by recruiting two stubborn violent know-it-alls for an assignment that ends up in...well, you know. But before we go there, you also need to know that: (1) Jake Kincaid harbors a completely rational, completely justified amount of dislike towards Kayla Jackson. (2) She hates him because he's being mean. Now, if only them teenage hormones got that.

***THIS STORY WILL BECOME FREE ON JULY15th!*** Beverly Curie only lives for herself (and maybe ice cream). When her three nieces are suddenly put under her care, she must do the impossible: think about someone other than herself. Beverly is the only member of her family left in Chestnut Ridge, where she's kept the same routine for eight years: do as little work as possible during the day, marathon sitcoms in the evening, and try (for the life of her) to get everyone to leave her alone. When she loses her position at Red Ribbon's Craft Store, Beverly is left without a job and without a paycheck. Then her estranged sister, Aimee, calls with an impossible favor: Could Beverly take care of her three nieces for six months? It's insane. But then there's the thirty thousand dollars that Aimee offers to pay and Beverly can't resist. Suddenly, she's stuck taking care of three little girls, trying not to kill the soccer moms at the snobby Percival Academy, and joining the PTO. Now Beverly--self-serving, sarcastic, and problematic--must take on the role of a loving parent. And she is anything but. (EDITORS PICK) In the bloody, ruthless, and decidedly uncouth world of 17th century pirates, can a woman deceive even those closest to her and survive? Bronte is forced to make some tough decisions about her life and livelihood at far too tender an age in a time and place when options for women are few. Port Royal, Jamaica, in the 17th century is only a good place to be if you're a pirate. And so, a pirate she is. A pirate's life is precarious enough without the added burden of hiding one's sex. But, if she is to survive, hide it she must. Lucien's father wishes him to take over the family merchant business but Lucien feels God has a different path; he longs to use his medical knowledge to help the less fortunate in the Caribbean. Just as he is about to embark on his God-given task, a certain pirate spoils his plans. Is he wrong about the path God has for him? Lucien is forced to work for his father and delay his plans until he can hunt down the pirate who thwarted him. He is sure he's a match for anything the pirates dish out but soon realizes he's gotten more than he bargained for and it just may cost him his life... ⭐️ Featured in Editors Pick 9/2020 Cover by @Azanthiel
