"The Riley twins were born in the spring of 1797 during a ferocious storm that battered the Salisbury Plain for three days together. Isabel entered the world with a flash of lightning, her shrieking drowned out by a grand clap of thunder. Thirteen minutes later the storm abated, clouds parted, and Miranda was handed to her father, blinking in rays of sun that poured through the window." Isabel loves the comfort of home and the company of her family and few close friends. She doesn't care for the drama of the season or dream of gothic adventures as her sister does. She is wild and carefree in her own right, mischievous if need be, and the fun she has with her sister and closest friend is enough to satisfy her fancies. If only life took pleasure in forcing adventure on those who wished for it, instead of those who did not. Miranda is a playful romantic, she looks forward to her first season with a desperation which rivals that of a starving man on his way to a feast. She can't wait to dress in beautiful gowns and dance the nights away with the height of the Ton. More than anything, she dreams of finding her prince charming and falling in love; but love is a game, and some play it far too well. What readers are saying: "What a wonderful read!! [COMPLETE] Katherine Williamson Peters wasn't born a beaten coward. When she was a girl she was wild and free and brave. She was Blue Angel, fierce protector of the imaginary innocent and robber of make-believe trains. She climbed trees and disobeyed her father and she cavorted with demons. At least that's what the church folk said-- Gabriel Townsend's momma was a concubine for Satan himself, and her son was the devil's seed. Not that it mattered much to Katherine, back when she was young and reckless. Gabe was just her partner in crime, her best friend in the whole world. She was Blue Angel and he was Devil Dog, slayer of bad guys and wielder of six-shooter finger guns. But life had other plans for Katherine than the rebellion and joy she favored as a girl. She couldn't say exactly how it happened that she lost her courage, but she woke up one day and found herself conquered. Battered and alone, crushed beneath the heel of her husband, her obligations, and the weight of the town's judgment. A brave woman would have fought. She'd have protected herself and brought goodness and strength back to the name of God-- a name her husband's preachings had tarnished. Katherine wasn't brave. She was a coward, and like a coward she turned her back on God and she fled... ...right into the arms of the devil.

*WARNING: RATED MATURE DUE TO LANGUAGE/SEXUAL CONTENT. READERS MUST BE 17+* *CANNOT be read without reading prior novels in series* Wolfe Emerson is notorious for two things: being an absolute beast in a boxing ring and being a voluntary mute. His story remains unspoken and he prefers to live his life in silence. That is, until, his world is turned upside down when he meets someone who is louder than life. The complete opposite of him with her outspoken personality, Wolfe can't decide if this woman gets on his nerves or makes him feel things he's never felt before. The scariest part? For the first time in his life, he wants someone to know who he truly is and see him. Hear him. But will he be able to fight for her in silence, or will he finally have to speak up? Melanie "Lenny" Parks is notorious for one thing: being a total badass. At least, that's what she wants everyone to think. Her past is a deeply buried secret and she's more than happy to mask her pain behind tough scowls and cold smirks. That is, until, she meets a man who literally bulldozes into her life. This beast of a man seems to have his eyes set on her and what she's clearly hiding from the rest of the world. The kicker of it all? He doesn't speak. Yet he makes her want to fill in the unspoken blanks between them and finally show someone the real her. But does she even know who the real her is anymore, or has she been silenced for good?
