This will be a series of Emisue one shots. Mostly, if not all, smutty and very tension filled. Might throw in a little fluff here and there, though. Enjoy!

Emily Dickinson and Sue Gilbert grew up spending their summers together in Martha's Vineyard-a small island right off the coast of Cape Cod. Both the Dickinson's and the Gilbert's had summer cottages on the island and they had been summer neighbors since they were young. It had been a few years since Emily had spent her summer there due to college and other life happenings taking up her time previously. They hadn't really kept in touch and this would be the first summer in a while that they would both be there at the same time. As the summer goes on, there's a burning tension between the girls and both of them are feeling it.

Emily and Sue are very close friends and they had been for years. Emily gets Sue a job at her workplace, and the girls already strong bond of a relationship begins to take a whole other direction than it ever has before. Sue has been with her boyfriend, James, for a few years now and recently got engaged. As the girls relationship begins to evolve, Emily finds herself gravitating toward Sue--getting jealous of James and thinking about Sue in ways she never really did before.

Emily has been living in Boston over the past four years finishing up college and starting her career at the Boston Globe HQ writing and editing for the paper. Sue has been in NY, but the girls have lost contact over the years and haven't spoken for quite some time. They were best friends growing up and Emily always had Sue lingering in the back of her mind. She wondered where she was... what she's been up to... how she has been. Will their paths cross again? When they do--what will happen?

This story takes place after Emily and Sue rekindle their romantic affair in 2x10. Rated M for later chapters. ........ Emily and Sue have been in love for quite some time. After Sue and Austin get married, their relationship took a halt for a long time. What happens when they can't resist temptation any longer and act on their emotions?
