All I remember is the running. The pounding of the tough gravel, uneven pavement, and soft earth beneath my feet. The sweat that slowly drips from the top of your forehead, trickles down the side of your face and then stops, right by the corner of your lips, almost as if it is mocking, teasing your need for water. The exhaustion and just utter lack of sleep because there is no place, no time to rest. And because of this, the "never being able to catch your breath" feeling never ever leaves, because stopping means risking getting caught.
And getting caught was not an option.

Meet Elizabeth (if that even is her real name)
