She also works partly at a restaurant, but due to problems she soon loses that job. And after one fatal mission is recruited by Nick Fury, the current leader for S.H.E.I.L.D to work for the Avengers. Things seem pretty well, even after they throw in the challenge of high school. Then everything changes in a snap. Literally. "What's your name?" He questioned again pounding on a big oval table surrounded by other Avengers. The girl disappeared in pink smoke then revealed by the door. "Let's start with tea why don't we," She chimes running out of the door and the building. She listened to the other feet pounding on the ground behind her as the old man spoke. "Your Mad," he screamed stopping to let the others take over. The girl suddenly stopped and so did the Avengers. She turned around and spoke once more. "I'm mostly mad," with that she disappeared into another gust of pink dust leaving the Avengers to begin the chase again.

Winifred Jones grew up loving the story of Wonderland, in particular, the Cheshire Cat. Wyn also grew up being a test subject for her scientist father, only she didn't realize that's what she was at first. In order to discover the truth behind her father's experiments on her, she sneaks into his lab. She discovers she's not the only one with a fascination for the Cheshire Cat. Mr. Jones has been working on something very Cheshire-like indeed. After Wyn spills the formula on herself, she becomes the embodiment of the Cheshire Cat. Her powers, plus her prior knowledge of S.H.I.E.L.D, make her the perfect candidate for a very important initiative.
