Tay Sterling, a young author, is caught in a crime he never committed. When he tries to get away, he is somehow transported to Nexus, the city of the sky and sea, and finds out about a prophecy that applies to him. The moment he learns this, Tay is caught again, this time by the guards of Nexus and will be locked in a magical prison where he will never be able to get out once he is inside. Will Tay escape and fulfill the prophecy?

I look back at the symbols. They are shifting colors, from red to green to purple and back to red. And they are animated. The wolf is running and the snake is slithering around the skull, lifting its head up to hiss at me. The flashlight falls out of my hand as I sprint toward the door. I pound on it with every bit of muscle I have. "Help! They're coming to get me! They're coming to get me! Oh, somebody!" I screeched. No answer. A teen named Jackson struggles with claustrophobia but he is pushed into a non-claustrophobic-friendly challenge by his friends. And he accepts it. Will he survive?
