Being sent to a mental asylum when you're only a teenager and completely sane can be pretty rough. When Roxanne is finally let out she has no where to turn to except to a foster family. Her life finally hits a normal level until she gets a call from Ghost Adventures asking to interview her. She connects with Zak and slowly she learns to open up and love again but also how to let go. Sequel is out and finished if anyone is interested.

"What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.

25 year old Avery Bell resides in the small town of Riversmend, Wisconsin. Inheriting what is known to the town's folk as "The Bell House" after the mysterious deaths of her parents and long line of family before them on the cursed property. Avery struggles to come to terms with her parents deaths and even though she has tried leaving her small town, something keeps holding her back. Enter Zak Bagans, the lead paranormal investigator to the Ghost Adventures crew - The team sets out to their next destination which happens to be various buildings in Riversmend. Upon entering the small, foggy town Zak is immediately drawn to the Bell House without understanding why, and upon interviews with the locals he decides they in fact need to investigate the Bell property but with difficulty. Avery and Zak cross eachother's paths on more than one occasion and soon they start to grow more fond of eachother which Zak was not ready for. Trying to keep her history a secret and trying not to fall for the man who wants to dig deeper, leads her to have to make a big decision - stay hidden within the ghosts of Riversmend or take the hand of traveler Zachary Bagans?
