Picking up where the revival left off, we find Rory and Logan making their own way. They say there are two sides to every story. Chapters 1-35 are from Rory's POV. The half chapters are from Logan's POV. They are a one-for-one match to each Rory chapter. Rory has been working at the Stars Hallow Gazette and doing a bit of freelancing here and there since she landed the job when Bernie retired and it's been four years since she and Logan said that final goodbye in New Hampshire. But what happens when she lands a major interview at the New York Times in the big city and she runs into none other than Logan Huntzberger.

Logan told Rory goodbye at her graduation, and he meant it. Didn't he? She wouldn't compromise for him so he couldn't for her in the end. He moved to California, and she hit the campaign trail. Their lives moved in separate directions, and they worked hard to get over each other. But what if their lives take them back in the same direction again? Can they fight the attraction that has always been there? Can they look past all the hurt and finally realize what they could have together? Will they let fate dictate their lives or will they find out that it's something other than fate that is pushing them together?

This story begins after the last scene of Bon Voyage, the last episode of the original series. In the time between the end of the series and the revival's release, I imagined things to have worked out differently for our girls. These were my thoughts on what could have happened. The first couple chapters give Lorelai her happy ending, then the focus moves to Rory.

On the eve of his wedding to Odette, Logan gets some news that will send him down a path no one expected. How will he handle the curveball headed his way, and what will become of his life now? Rory thought she could finally move on with her life after New Hampshire, but she couldn't be more wrong. When her life gets complicated, she has some highly impactful decisions to make regarding her future.
