Shido Kuromura es un estudiante extranjero que estudia en Japón. Con la esperanza de saber más del mundo de Danmachi, el joven se había decidido a quedarse a vivir en Japón. Jugando al juego del anime, viendo los mangas, y leyendo las novelas, Shido no podía parar de estar emocionado con cada capítulo nuevo que el veía. Luego de haber comprado el último volumen que había salido de la serie, estaba caminando hasta su departamento. Desafortunadamente, nunca llegó a leer el nuevo volumen de la novela ligera. Y esto se debía a que un tipo pasó en una motocicleta con la intención de robarle la mochila que traía puesta, donde allí se encontraba el nuevo volumen!! Shido nunca se había dado de su presencia, desde que se mudó se tomó todo tranquilo y con calma, creyendo que nunca le volverían a robar, y ese fue su error. Él solo pudo sentir como algo tiró fuertemente de su mochila, para sentir como sus pies se levantaron en el aire y luego ver como sentía su cuerpo ser lanzado como una pelota, antes de caer al piso y que su cabeza golpeara con el cordón de la calle. Su vida había terminado. A partir de este momento, su encuentro con una Deidad le va a permitir vivir los momentos de su novela favorita, con el deseo de que obtenga un Sistema. Está feliz de tener esta nueva oportunidad y conocer a aquellos personajes de los que alguna vez sintió fuertes emociones. Su objetivo era ver con sus propios ojos el final de esta novela. Sin embargo, nada es fácil. Si quiere ver todo con sus propios ojos deberá ser más fuerte. Incluso si quiere llegar a interferir en algo va a necesitar poder. Su vida continuaría con el deseo de ver el final de la novela, hasta que un día despierta su magia.
