Pidge is an Galran commander who was sent to help gain a peace treaty with Earth Rebellion after the Galra had enslaved Earth for Years. She soon meets the champion who didn't just win the Gladiator rings but her heart too.

Lance is an ex soldier who's been searching for the rebellion in hopes to join t hem but on his way, he unexpectedly meets an Psychic known as Pidge.

Katara lives in District Twelve, constantly struggling to support her family after the death of her mother. She dreads the Reaping each year just like everyone else, knowing if she is chosen she would be sent to the Capitol to fight in the Hunger Games, a televised competition where twenty-four teenagers fought to the death. But when the day finally comes, it isn't her who is chosen. It's her brother, Sokka. So Katara does the unthinkable. She volunteers to take his place. And suddenly she is thrust into the glamorous world of the Capitol along with her district partner, Zuko, headed to the arena. Making alliances, fighting enemies, and staying alive is hard enough. Katara has been different since her mother's death. She buries herself in books and work, trying to distract from the pain. And Zuko's life is far from perfect. His mother is gone, his father is abusive, and his sister hates him. People seem to avoid him just because of the scar on his face. So when he gets dared to make Katara his girlfriend, saying if he did so he would get paid, he doesn't expect anything to come out of it. Then he begins to spend time with her and realizes maybe he wants something to come out of it. Now he needs to keep the dare a secret. The war ended 6 years ago. It's been two years since Zuko and Katara have seen each other. The Gaang tries to see each other as much as possible, but as time goes on, it gets harder. During a much needed break, the Gaang reunites to celebrate Suki and Sokka's engagement. When an inconvenience joins the group, Katara and Zuko are faced with the decision to either give into their feelings which have been bubbling under the surface for nearly 7 years, or do what their respective nations expect of them.
