It started much earlier than that, when Hisashi Midoriya walked out on Inko, taking with him their four and a half year old son. All For One will devote a lot of time to investments he considers worthwhile. His son is one such investment. "Young man," All Might said again. He was trying to sound gentle. "We can fix this." Izuku stared at him. And then he laughed. It was a bitter, hollow laugh but as he laughed he let his hair fade to white and turned his eyes gold. The widening of All Might's eyes was somewhat carthic but wasn't going to be enough. "No, we can't," Izuku told him before bracing. All For One let his son go to make his own choices, giving him a new identity, and new opportunities. He's taught Izuku well but needs to know that his son will come to him because it is his choice. Izuku is eager to see the world, and perception creates reality. What will Izuku see? A system that should be torn down and burned, or a system that is trying to be better than it is? Which side will he choose? Here, he is not All Might's chosen successor, but All For One's and no matter what he chooses, he will be a force to be reckoned with. Follows Izuku through into high school and canon time and all the fun that entails.

Izuku is raised by Nezu after Inko died giving birth and dad couldn't deal with him. Grows up with lots of pro heroes to call his family. Izuku Midoriya may have a quirk now, but he's still just another Deku in a network society views as useless. Or I just discovered the Red Shoe Theory and I absolutely had to write something about it.

When a contest sponsored by I-Island scientists comes up, Izuku Midoriya does not hesitate to enter at the chance of meeting the number 1 hero. But while designing a hero costume, Izuku begins to realize he does not just have a love for heroes, but a love for science and design.

Izuku Midoriya has a quirk, but unlike his dreamy desires, his quirk won't allow him to become a hero. Instead, he can see someone's life span. Above everyone's head is a green number and it shows how many days they have left to live. If a number goes red, then that means that said person only has a year or less. Izuku was bullied because of his useless quirk, and since he cannot show his quirk people begin saying he's quirkless. Katsuki Bakugo is one of the main bullies and he puts Izuku through hell. It all changed when Izuku was ten though. His apartment building goes up in flames one night due to an unknown villan attacking a neighbor. Sadly, Inko and Izuku are caught in the crossfire and no one can save them. That night, Inko dies in her apartment and Izuku goes missing. After four years of searching, the Missing Midoriya case goes cold and Izuku is presumed dead. Three years after the attack, a new vigilante shows up. **I do not own any of the characters or the anime/manga! I do not own the art on the cover either! But I do own the plot!!**

Midoriya Izuku was ambitious. He always pushed until he fell. He never gave up, not once did he fall and stay down. Not even when his idol told him that his dream was illogical--that in reality he will only get in the way. So he made a set of recordings and set up an anonymous channel. He approached many people and asked them variants of the same question: "Can a quirkless person become a hero?" No matter the answer though, he was broken inside. His dreams and hopes were shattered a long time ago. But he isn't ready to take a swan dive just yet. He wants to meet one person who will tell him that he is not useless. That he can be a hero. And after that moment, he will decide if he's ready to take a swan dive off the roof of a building or not. Some of the chapters will be quite triggering. I will put a warning beside each chapter title that includes detailed descriptions of triggering topics. The characters do not belong to me, only the plot.
