When Myra's rich and outgoing parents decide to send her to Bankok for a week for her twentyth birthday, she doesn't know the danger she is putting herself into. Her bestfriend and childhood sweetheart, Ella and Jake, are shipped off in a plane, excited to live a dream. However, one night when Jake decides it would be fun to go on a boat and ride out in the ocean, their boat gets highjacked. A bunch a hispanic looking guys attack them, put bags over theirs heads and drag them off into the night. Myra wakes up on a beach, Ella and Jake no where to be found, and her nightmare has just begun. She crawls through the jungle, figuring out she is on an island, far from Bankok and where a mad man, Vaas Montenegro, lives and commands his men to kidnapp and sell his captive for ransoms. But, Vaas cannot bring himself to kill Myra and her friends when they stand at the gallows. What could be happening to this isane man? What could Myra be doing to make him let her and her friends live? Could it be because she is somewhat like him? A story of adventure, survival and love. Each of it's members have pirating, and piloting, in their blood. Be it a double-winged biplane dogfighter of the early wars or the Space Pirate Battleship Arcadia of this era, imperial calendar year 3033, you can find the latest Harlock at the wheel. Pirating and piloting is in their blood and soul. But it's not pirating in the true sense of the word. Sure, they fight unfairly. Never by the rules and almost always with some cruel maneuver. They steal, plunder other spacecraft, ship, battleship, fighter, cargo ship etc. They are killers, no doubt about it. But they are proud, honorful, trustworthy and loyal to their beliefs. The kind of men who keep a promise to a friend, dead or alive, even if it means dying themselves in the process. All this I felt more then learned, almost at the exact same moment I stepped onboard. Three things very quickly became apparent to me. 1. I was leaving Heavy Melder behind. 2. The Captain was crazy loyal and was definitely, without a doubt not to be messed with. 3. This huge dysfunctional family that was the crew had adopted me. So, there was no possible way I would be leaving any time soon. And you know what? I was perfectly fine with that. ... If only the ship wasn't haunted. Darn Ghosts.

I wanted to write this book so badly after watching Free! Iwatobi Swim Club (Season 2: Free! Eternal Summer also) and I just had to do it to one of the hottest anime guys, Tachibana Makoto.
