I faced his grinning face, white teeth gleaming and eyes sparkling with playfulness and fumed at him, " I am not going to do this. I WILL not do this!", I shouted at him, clenching my fist. He tilted his face to one side with a quiet expression, studying me, as if considering my refusal. Emboldened by his stance, I defiantly cross my arms around my chest, shooting daggers at him with my eyes. But then the playfulness comes back in his eyes and he smiles and raises his eyebrows ," Then my love", he steps forward suddenly and grabs me by the shoulders, " It must go on without your consent". Emma is a 17 year old girl studying in high school. Pretty ordinary right? Except that Emma is fascinated by history, especially medieval history, so much so that she spends hours dreaming about time travel and what she would do if she was in medieval times. But what happens when her dream turns into a reality? Will she be able to cope with the rude reality beyond her romanticisation of it- patriarchal mindsets, a different society and friends, looming threats and the biggest of them- An erratic, evil, sexy and dangerous prince who is set to be crowned King of England once he finds his bride. And he sets his eyes on Emma *----------------------------------------------------------------------**---------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The prince in this story is NOT a nice, loving guy. He is an anti-hero. You might find his ways emotionally abusive and controlling. Emma will try to leave the prince, not be with him. Whether she stays with him or not will be revealed later in the story. You can also imagine Emma however you like, and you can also imagine the story set in any country, not just england, as long as it is in medieval times. Trigger warning- Rape

Lacey Waits has gotten too comfortable appealing to the good natures of the spirits she can communicate with. See, these spirits, they breathe salt on the little sills and doorways to keep the evil out. But when she moves back to Iowa for the spring and a little Jane Doe asks for her help in bringing justice to her gruesome murder - and when Lacey subsequently denies her request - the restless spirits see no reason to stick around, allowing demons and ghouls with lesser-than-holy intentions to wreak havoc. Caught in constant danger, it's up to Lacey to get on the case of Jane Doe's death, rescue a childhood friend from a string of missing persons cases, and regain the good graces of the dead before she joins them at the hand of evil entities and water that just keeps on rising. *Previously featured on the @mystery profile* *Featured on @Paranormal's "Life After Death" reading list* *Featured on @Ghost's "Bustling Ghosts" reading list* *Featured on @crime's "Policing the Paranormal" reading list* *cover by cosettetapes*

Matthias is a struggling writer finally able to move into his first solo apartment. He's thrilled to have a place free of roommates and siblings, even though the building is decrepit and is inhabited by an odd assortment of people including an intrusive neighbor, a little girl who wanders freely, and an overweight orange cat named Cheese. As Matthias settles in things begin getting stranger. Something vile is growing in the dark and it's coming from somewhere on the second floor... where Matthias happens to live. Author's note: this is me trying to get back to my roots: a character driven novella with horror elements. The story of people struggling against an inscrutable enemy, as well as the day to day trials of being poor in America. I have no idea how often I'll update or even exactly how this will all go down because y'girl is a panster. So strap in because this is the first draft and you all get to see it being born! Feel free to comment whatever comes to mind, and helpful critiques are always welcome.
