Lily is happy with her life. She has a unique family that she can rely on as well as four great friends who support her - and vice versa. She doesn't mind school, loves to play soccer in her spare time and cannot say no to sweets. For as long as she can remember, it has always been just her and her brothers. There are no parents in the picture. The 12-year-old has never bothered to find out what actually happened to them and she has never even met them. Her oldest brother is her and the other minors' guardian. This is how it has always been, and Lily likes it that way. However, something seems to be changing. Three of her brothers suddenly move back home, or at least make plans to do so. The older ones start to act secretive and they appear more preoccupied than usual. Certain things don't add up anymore. Lily's curiosity is piqued. What is going on with her family? What are her oldest brothers hiding from her? Have they been lying to her? Who are her parents? And where are they? Join Lily on a journey that will turn her life upside down and that will put everything into a new perspective, as things slowly start to unravel.

Sophia was naive, ordinary, a village girl with a simple dream-to see the king's palace. One day, curiosity woke her. Innocent, childish, she walked into the grand halls... unaware she had just caught the eye of the ruthless king. From that moment, she would no longer be just a girl-she would become HIS OBSESSION. King Adrian sat on his throne, dark and terrifying. The hall trembled; heads bowed, no one dared meet his eyes. Then the gates opened. Guards dragged a small, trembling girl to his feet. "Your Majesty... we found her roaming the palace," they said. Thrown to the floor, Sophia looked up at king, voice shaking. "I... I just wanted to see the palace..." Everyone flinched at his gaze-but she dared to meet the king's eyes. And in that moment... she became his obsession. Where The Light Doesn't Reach is a raw and unflinching young adult contemporary novel that explores the lingering effects of trauma, mental illness, and the desperate search for connection. Carter has spent years perfecting the art of disappearing-hiding behind oversized hoodies, avoiding touch, and keeping people at arm's length. But when Gray, a persistent and enigmatic classmate, forces his way into Carter's life, the walls Carter has spent years building begin to crack. As the two navigate an unexpected friendship, Carter is confronted with the past he's tried so hard to bury. But survival comes at a cost, and facing the darkness means risking everything. Told in a gripping first-person narrative, Where The Light Doesn't Reach is about resilience, found family, and the struggle to believe in a future when the past won't let go. My heart hammered against my chest as I saw who was standing infront of me. I thought I had enough time to flee, guess not. I looked behind his back intending to run through the door, away from his heated gaze. "Don't you dare." His voice still made me cower in submission, even after all these days. "I won't tell what happened between us to anyone, sir. Please, let me go." "Never. I don't fucking care even if the whole world knows about us." There was that stubborn, harsh edge in his tone that ended any protest before it could rise in my throat. I had to get out of here before he did something I would regret. "I told you to wait until I came back didn't I?" Yes, he did, but that was the only chance I had to run away from his shackles and I wasn't no fool to not take that chance. Even if I was regretting it now. "Nothing can happen-" "Strip." His command made my reasoning with him pause. "Wh-what?" I didn't mean to stutter, but I was also one second away from fainting on the velvety carpet. "You know it won't take me a second to tear that pretty dress off of your body, so don't make me come there." I knew he could tear it off without even getting one hair out of place. As it wouldn't be the first time he would be doing so. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ [18+] Diamonds always stay hidden. It is us who have to find them.
