19-year-old John Laurens has been in college for four days before his roommate shows up. When John introduces himself, the boy doesn't say a word. So when Laurens asks for his name, he raises a hand and signs "Alexander Hamilton." This surprises Laurens just a bit, because this boy didn't look like the kind to remain silent. He's seen those people before, and the boy in front of him looks like he has a lot to say. But what's keeping him from speaking his mind?

Theyre known for mass murder...only because they turned themself in. Why? no one knows. No one has stayed in the job long enough to find out why and how. They all quit out of fear. But after working with him, something sparks between him and John. Is it just a random feeling? or are they...in love? Read this to find out! I can't stop you though. Basically how the soulmate thing works like: When you kiss your soulmate, a band in your skin forms on your left ring finger. You can change the band to look however you want. If your soulmate is feeling a strong emotion, your soulmate feels it too. If you get hurt, your soulmate feels a muffled version of that pain. Yes I used a Heathers quote as the title FIGHT ME (Don't actually I'm weak, there's a reason I act instead of playing sports) (Not that acting/dancing/singing isn't hard but ya). I really had no idea what I was doing when I started writing this so sorry if it's weird or things don't make sense. FINISHED :) John Laurens has lived in South Carolina all his life. So far, nothing has changed. His town is still filled with the homophobic, racist people he's always been surrounded by, and not to mention his abusive father. Alexander Hamilton, a selective mute, has finally had enough. He leaves the Caribbean and moves in with his cousin Usnavi. So, little did John know, what's been the same for years was about to get flipped upside down, just because of one day and one silent boy.
