The summer after Bucky comes back from a long mission was one to remember; having 4 weeks of leave until he would be shipped off overseas to fight the Nazi's, he finds himself wanting to see some of the world, dragging Steve along they find themselves in a small town in North Carolina. Determined to live the next few weeks free Bucky finds himself in a hard place when a special lady comes into his life, his once excitement for the war depletes as he quickly falls in love with a small town girl. "All the sudden life made sense when I saw her, she took my breath away, like no one ever has.. You find love at the most inconvenient time of your life."

She opened her eyes softly, wires all around, the sound of the electrocardiogram was loud as she looked around. Tony and Bruce were standing next to her wide eyed, her pulse quickened as she didn't know who they were or where she was. "Where's Steve!? Who are you people?!", the monitor now quickened as her pulse did, Bruce raised his hands lightly trying to calm you as Tony yelled "Rogers you better get in here!" Steve rounded the corner swiftly. The corners of his mouth curved upward as he sat next to her, grabbing her hand lightly he calmed her down. "Steve, the last thing I remember I grabbed your hand as we were crashing into the water." He shushed her softly before speaking himself. "I know Y/N, I need you to calm down a little bit before I start to explain what happened to us. We are now seventy years into the future, but I need you to calm down okay?" His voice was soft as he spoke, she looked around. Bruce and Tony now leaning on the wall their arms crossed as smiles were plastered on their faces. "We're just glad you're okay Agent Y/L/N.. Captain Rogers here has been out of the ice for about eight months now." The one named Bruce said. You leaned back into your pillows once more as you look at the ceiling, confused as to where you were and what year it was.
