In February 2013 I had a stroke shortly after becoming a first-time mother. It came after a number of other life-changing events and is maybe why I wanted to write about it first. If you have suffered an illness or trauma I think you will find something in common with this story. If you haven't had an experience, then maybe it will shed light on what it's like. I would love to hear your stories and feedback.

When Ares saves the life of a girl who should have died Hades puts a time limit on her life unless Ares can make her fall in love with him. When Ares realizes that she is no ordinary girl to him how will he react when she shows no interest to him. Will he tell her the truth? Will they fall in love? Will he save her?

What if perfect was a mistake? Lilli lives in futuristic world where, due to natural and chemical reasons, some people are granted powers. When the cities they live in turn on them and force them and everyone around them to forget who they are and what they can do for the sake of being perfect. A gang of fifty fights against this; none are older than 16 because at 16 the wash is inflicted on them. When a mysterious man comes and states he is her father and he lives in a city where people like them are accepted, Lilli must choose between present life or what she could be.

Short stories I wrote for my creative writing class in 2016.

A prophecy, a savior, a Golden Dragon and a war that's been raging for years with no end in sight. The inhabitants of Cefril all look towards the North where the great battle is taking place. A golden dragon and its rider are the prophesized ones to free the country and their battle is just beginning. But while everyone looks to the North, they forget about the other side of the country. Every six months the biggest city in the province holds a bonding ceremony. Every six months, young boys and girls from all around come to the city to find their dragon soulmate. When the call for the next ceremony comes, Aleron, a Wyvern decides to join the dragons as he feels an unexplained pull to the city. With a burning desire to join the fight in the North and prove himself worthy he hopes to find his human soulmate with the same desire. Aleron is a Wyvern amongst Dragons. A lesser species only used as messengers but Aleron has dreams of fighting beside the famed Golden Dragon. "I want my very own castle; I want tons of servants and men throwing themselves at my feet. I want to be pampered and rich. I want my own bloody fairy tale!" Unfortunately even wishes never went smoothly for Sarah. Instead of getting her happily ever after Sarah was unceremoniously dumped into a world that was both completely alien and chock full of intrigue and peril as well. She got the castle and servants all right but she also got plenty more that wasn't listed in the programme. Now all she could do was bide her time and pray for a way out of the mess before it was too late. Iain McLaughlin swore he'd never marry an Englishwoman. Infamous as the Black Wolf of the Highlands the gruff warrior was used to having everything his own way. But circumstances had a way of changing in the blink of an eye. Even a great laird isn't immune to the dictates of fate. So now he had no choice but to ride forth and claim his prize, whether he wants it or not however is another matter entirely.
