We follow a high-school boy named Mochizuki Fumiko, with his childhood best friend named Kozaki Souta. They both just transferred to a new school after both of their families decided to move out for a different and nice place to stay. While they were walking together for their first day at their new school, Souta introduce a game called "New World Online", a VRMMMORPG game. Souta insisted Fumiko to play with him, but Fumiko reminded to his best friend that he doesn't know much about RPG games, but Souta didn't give up, still insisting his best friend to join him. Fumiko was hesitant, but accept his best friend's proposal. Souta was glad and gave him a guide book about the game, he even bought the game for him as well, being an apology for forgetting his birthday. After finishing their first day at their new school, they both walk home before splitting up to their seperate ways. Fumiko got home, greets his family, eat dinner, takes a bath, wear's his clothes, and finally starts the game. He was introduced by the game as he make his character and name. Now he was on the stats as he says the iconic line. "Fumiko: I don't know what do, so I'll just make out my agility."
