Kolton, the second oldest of the Reifenberg royal family, doesn't want a mate. At least, not for now. He had always been independent, pushing the boundaries of what was expected of him. Eliza DeWitt comes at the wrong - and just the right - time for him to realize that everything he wanted was what everyone had told him all along. Eliza. Fuck. Her hair was down and curling in soft waves to her waist. Kolton's hands itched to touch it, and he gripped the underside of the table until he felt it groan beneath his hands. Letting go before he broke the table, he almost ran from the room. Long locks of dark red swept over Eliza's shoulders, making Kolton stiff as a brick in his trousers. He looked around the table to see everyone chatting, a large grin on Lexi's face as her eyes swept the table, landing on Eliza, then Kolton. Eliza was wearing a long green evening gown, her hair spilling over her shoulders and over the curve of her breasts. The color of the dress was a deep emerald green, and matched her light skin tone perfectly, complimenting her hair and the light blue of her eyes. He watched as Eliza pushed a stray lock behind her ear, and more of the soft swell of her breast was revealed. Kolton averted his eyes, afraid she might spill out of her top and his dick would punch a hole through the table top. This was fucking torture.

"They're cinnamon with apple Jam. I do promise they are to die for." The taller mans eyes narrowed, "did you give the poor fool dead on the road a cookie?" My lips parted, "a dead man? Oh my..do you think it is safe?" "..depends on who you are miss, why did you say you were in the woods again?" I smiled gently, "I didn't." He rose a brow. "I'm delivering these," I shook the basket a bit, "to my dearest grandmama." He hesitated for only a slight second, "oh. well. be careful then. These woods can be dangerous." I nodded once still holding out the basket, "so would you?" "Would we what?" I giggle a bit, "like a cookie silly." "Ah.." he scratched the back of his head, "sorry, I'm not too fond of apples." Damn it. I sighed softly, "strawberry next time then." "Right..." As I turned to go I looked up at the two tall men, "you be careful now too gentleman. There are wolves in these woods." They nodded rigidly as I spun and began to skip off, giggling to myself. He asked the wrong question. I didn't give the dead fool a cookie. I gave him two.

The big bad wolf can't stand a little competition. So that's exactly what I'll give him. Some good, healthy competition. ... After being abandoned in a forest near Fathilagt, Rayne was found as an infant by Rosabelle soon after the first attack on the peaceful pack. Rosabelle raised Rayne as her own and shielded her from whatever hardships she could. Staying out of the spotlight isn't easy when the universe has different plans for you, and Rayne struggles with finding a safe space to hide herself from those who blame her for things she is yet to understand.
