I look at you with empty eyes from across the crowdy room. I never spoke when I was with you, and for a long time I hid from that quiet disguise. Little did you know I cried under the rain, and I sang with our song. When I'm alone I think of you, I think of the thoughts I wanted to tell you, the words that twisted my tongue when I'm near you. These are poems that's I wrote, and I did it for me. I don't expect people to really read any of these, I just needed to say the things in my head.

Belle Seleva and her father just moved to New York City so her father could start working at a international technology company, Beast Inc. Belle, more interested in her studies, visits her father purely to use the company's massive library on one of the top floors. It's in the library she first meets Elias Adams, the young CEO who inherited the company from his deceased father. What Belle doesn't know, is that Elias is close to losing his biggest benefactors if he can't find himself a wife to tie him, and his temper, down. He's angered more than a few people, including his workers. His wife would do more than keep his company's finances stable, it would pacify his workers if he had a woman at his side to help him lead the company. So when her father accidentally destroys a prototype and ends up in the hospital with a comma, Elias offers Belle a deal: Come work for me at my mansion, and I'll pay off your father's medical bills. Belle, not seeing another choice, accepts his offer and moves into his mansion. But another problem arises when Daniel Gaston, Elias's business enemy, tries to woo Belle into marrying him; bribing her with the medicine that could get her father out of the hospital faster. As she adapts into her role as part maid, part secretary, part business correspondent, she tries to battle the honor she feels towards Elias and the want to save her father, wondering if maybe there's a little more to the man who hides in his office every day. #399 in Chicklit November 19, 2017

A NOVEL ON STOCKHOLM SYNDROME BOOK 1 OF A THREE BOOK SERIES *TRIGGER WARNING* This book contains scenes that some readers may find disturbing... and also slightly annoying. "Miss. Iris, do you believe she has a point?" she asked and returned to her seat once again. "I don't think so, her father and uncle deserve to go to jail." My answer extracted a smile from her like she was proud of my response. "My name is Christine; I am a renowned medico-legal psychotherapist. Been in the business for over twenty years and that is what a case of Stockholm syndrome looks like. In my years of experience, we see situations similar to this but its our job to help the victims realize" "Wow..." I started, really amazed at what she had said and what her work entails. I was only concerned why they locked me in a room with a psychotherapist "it must be difficult at times" I added. "yeah, its difficult every time" she laughed "but today isn't about me, I have a question for you." There was a brief pause in between before she carried on "Does Hunter deserve to go to jail?"

Evil spirits. A cursed prince. Death itself in disarray. Iris just wants to go home, but fate has other plans for this young priestess and her odd companions. /// The land of Erinlin is dying, its ancient traditions choked out by the Kaerent church and its true priestesses, the Candlemaidens, increasingly regarded with fear and suspicion. All Iris wants is to tend her candles, win her shade battles, and chat with the spirits of her realm. But when she is torn away from her home by the Kaerent king, she learns that her country needs her to be far more than a typical Candlemaiden-- she must be as the legendary priestesses of old and walk through Death itself. *** Cover help from the awesome @ArdenBrooks.
