Emotions. Every day in our life we are constantly feeling different emotions. They might be good, bad, funny, or sad; it can vary from time to time and people to people. I do have to say that the way we deal with our emotions is what really interests me. In the past few years of high school, I had to learn how to grow a lot and learn how to stand up for myself. As I look back to the moments that I was pushed into a corner, I wish I had the strength that I have today to not hideaway. Many people out there when they are feeling down, they tend to hide away from others and their feelings. Others, like me, we like to sing. Many songs tell a story. Sometimes you are able to relate to the song and be able to realize that the feeling you have is valid. To be able to process your feelings and realize that you are not alone in your time of need. Taylor Swift has always connected with me. She is able to write feelings into words that I cannot fathom in emotional stages. Her literature expertise also allows me to create a story when listening to her songs and feel a part of the story of her album. So that is the reason why I, Serena White, am standing in the middle of Washington High School's stage singing Mean by Taylor Swift.
