As time progresses, Dean still never got used to the same black and white filter of the world. All he wanted was to see colors again. One day, Dean notices a student who was filled with colors. That student ended up being Castiel, the angel who saved Dean but did not restore his eyesight to normal. When Cas first found Dean, he cured him and became his guardian angel for quite some time and he eventually fell in love with him. One day, Dean finally got the guts to talk to Castiel and suddenly his world was full of colors. On principle, Castiel never works with new and “up and coming” talent. But just this once, he decides to make an exception with Dean Winchester, who he ends up bending all his rules for.

Over the course of the year Dean comes in rather frequently. He buys flowers for his girlfriend, for his mother, for holidays, etc. Cas can see Dean is not happy in his relationship, but what can he do about it? They're not really friends. So when Valentine's Day rolls around Cas expects Dean to stop in and buy some big, extravagant arrangement, he doesn't show. Instead, Dean shows up ten minutes before closing and asks for a single white rose. But what is the meaning behind it? And who does he plan to give it to?
