For thirteen years Kasai tried to be a single father, balancing taking care of the home, his daughter, and work non-stop to pay pills, but it was too much for him. He was never too connected with his family, but thankfully Nitta's family welcomed him with open arms. They all worked together to pay for the flight to Japan. Here, is where Hana's life will change drastically.
