Virgil is a regular highschooler, right? Wrong. He goes through his day entirely trying not to leave the building, and when he does, he covers his entire body, as if he's scared of the outside, leaving Patton concerned. And a concerned Patton leads to telling Logan. Who, coincidentally, has had a crush on Virgil for the last two years.

Virgil joins a new symphony orchestra, simply out of his love for music and his passion for the violin, However, along the way, he meets some pretty unexpected people and faces an abundance of unexpected challenges that come with them. Friendships, rivalries, and maybe even romances.

For obvious reasons Anxiety is quite reserved at first but then begins to relax around Thomas. The other sides however have problems with their newfound friendship and one side has problems with emotions that he believes he shouldn't have in the first place and then proceeds to write them off as unimportant. Anxiety's problems seem to double overnight when the others found out about his friendship with Thomas, will that stop him? Even when an argument breaks out leaving Anxiety feeling even more broken inside and the others with no idea how to fix their mistakes?
