Tomioka Giyu comes close to losing his life during a battle, however, he is saved by Shinobu Koucho's hand-made medicine. While he assures her he is fine, she refuses to buy his story and continues to pester him.

Life after death. Life before afterlife. Reunited with an old friend, the two journey on the almost everlasting road to heaven, in their life after death, or the life before afterlife. This is their second life after all.
