My power sparks at his touch like fire to kindling and I have to clench a hand in my dress skirt to keep control. He makes sure my gaze is entirely on him when he says, "And you know you will." I shake underneath the pressure of his words and he strokes my chin to calm me. Fine, but he has no idea what he is asking for. I shall be a queen, but not his. What if the darkling had won? What if the fold was destroyed, and Alina did claim the third amplifier? What if Mal came back to life? Though more sun summoners rose to fight with Alina, victory was not secured. Yes, they destroyed the fold, but they were still not enough to kill the darkling. This story is for any one unhappy with the ending of Ruin and Rising. The title is a lie... it is also a contiueation of the story that I created. I was uncontent with the way the Darkling died, that Alina and Mal "died" and that they ended up otkatsta'sya. My story changes that. And remember; DARKNESS NEVER DIES
