When Gabriel hears there's a new kid in town, he's desperate to make a good impression and have one friend through this hell they call school. Instead, he is greeted with a completely silent teen by the name of Sam.

Highschool/Soulmates AU The Novak's and Winchester's live in a world where everything is grey, up until you meet your soulmate, at which point they'll be able to see colours. It all seems pretty simple, unless you don't know who you met. Dean and Castiel met drunk at a party, waking up with no memory but colours everywhere. They have no idea who they met but Castiel is determined to find his soulmate. Dean however is not exactly enthusiastic about the idea of soulmates. Sam, the 'perfect' student, gets a bit bored and ups his small pranks to starting a war with the schools renowned Trickster. Of course, Gabriel has no idea who this guy is but that doesn't stop the war between them. And so without meaning to, the two start to know each other quite well.

Castiel hates Dean Winchester with a passion. Every word he said, every look he makes, ever movement he does makes the Novak hate him more and more each day. Dean would do anything for his younger brother Sammy who is about to start at Stanford University, even if that means taking on an extra job to keep him from taking on any student debt. This job though is not a normal everyday career, it is not talked about in polite company and is hidden away behind closed doors in the underbelly of a seedy club. He steps away from hunting, forever. He takes up the cloth, becoming a priest at a church in Kansas. He's given responsibility for the church's secret exorcism department, excelling in his trade. When his faith begins to flag, and he starts to get into more danger, God steps in. He reassigns the angel, Castiel, a mission to keep closer tabs on Dean and reward the man when things seem too much to handle. Grateful for another chance to watch over Dean, he accepts the mission. Knowing he will not fail, but Castiel begins to realize that things aren't as simple as just following orders. There are things the two men have to work out if Castiel is going to keep Dean safe.
