She only sees love as some obstacle she has to pass. Erik Rosetta, a.k.a Cupid, loves love. It's in his job description, so he has no choice. He thinks that he knows everything about love. He thinks that he gets the whole concept, can even write a whole book about it if he wants to. But that all changes when he meets Juliette and makes a mistake of a lifetime. He will learn what love really is, that it isn't just using people as target practice. So who's more clueless to love? Is it an obstacle to the never been kissed study-a-holic? Or just another job to the 17 year old Cupid?

In which there is a debate between an optimist and a pessimist. If you don't know what either means, don't be embarrassed. An optimist always thinks that the world is full of hope. The pessimist will just shake his head and say, "Nope". So do you think it's right to believe everything is great every day? Or see that everything is more worse than the next in every single way? A poem submitted for the Everything is Awesome Scholarship Slam 2015.

Rights and responsibilities is the 2014 theme of National History Day Contest, a broad topic. And I chose to write a just as broad topic of human rights. What are human rights? Is it to prove we're human? Prove that we're humans are right? Or to tell us apart from aliens? Though, now that I think of it, all extraterrestrial beings should have rights as well, but let's just have the Men in Black deal with that- But before getting off of topic, let's focus back on this. As you read about this, think about these questions (not the alien one, unless you want to). Think about what it takes to not only be human, to act like one too. And after you read this, think to yourself. Do you have the right to be human? This essay won first place for the 2014 National History Day essay contest in California.

The question is... which one?

Some things stay as they are, but others? They fall apart. And once upon a time, Stephanie Olsen and Tyler Scott were the best of friends. Once inseparable, now drifting apart.
