Since the events at Homecoming Peter hadn't been the same. He began to remember things from the past that he'd worked so long and hard to forget. At first no one really noticed, except Tony. When May leaves the state for a six month work trip Peter is left with Tony Stark. Who soon realises that the Peter he got to know wasn't the real Peter, just someone he made up to show everyone that he was fine. Though something that's about to happen will change him completely. Will what's about to break him push him too far to come back from? Will he accept help? Can he come back from it? Will he even want to?

Peter Parker attempts to juggle being Spider-Man, a high school student, and traumatized all at the age of sixteen. Aunt May does her best to be supportive of her superhero nephew and Ned is always there to be his Guy in the Chair. Sometimes, it's still too much for Peter. When he thinks things can't get even more complicated, a villain inserts themselves into the mix. Tony Stark decides to awkwardly step in and tries to help Peter understand that his own health needs to come before Spider-Man. Peter isn't sure if he agrees.

Peter Parker's known for his entire life that things just don't work out for him. Not with an Uncle prone to violence and his apartment on the wrong side of run-down. He's made peace with that, used Spider-Man as an outlet for the hunger and bruises. But then Tony Stark shows up, dressed in an expensive suit and carrying an internship opportunity. Peter can balance that on top of everything. He can keep a secret, he knows he can. And keeping this from Tony Stark won't be much different. Won't it?

Between having mad scientists for parents, getting bullied on a daily basis and keeping his identity as Spider-Man a secret it's no wonder he gets stressed. After his parents were killed and he was sent to live with his aunt and uncle his life got better, then his uncle was murdered and everything went downhill from there. Luckily he's got Tony as his undeclared pseudo father and the avengers who've taken him in as a part of their dangerous yet loving family.

After, what Tony Stark thought was going to be, a normal and boring mission, the Avengers find something unexpected at a HYDRA base. Or rather, someONE unexpected. Traumatized and abused, 14 year old Peter Parker is taken back to the compound where Tony Stark tries to get him to feel safe and protected again. But most importantly, to get him to talk.
