After Spinel had left with the diamonds Steven wanted to help all the gems in Little Homeworld as he could. One day, the most problematic gem he had encountered knocked at his door asking for help. Steven has been missing for months. Everyone has been looking for him, until Connie finds him herself. Unfortunately, Steven has made a turn for the worse.

Beach City is finally safe and sound thanks to Steven and the Crystal Gems. As Steven finds, however, that as he is running out of people to help he starts to feel an empty void, one that he's pushed out of the way for a long time. Can Steven face his inner demons or will they consume him?

Steven's getting close to done with helping other people with their problems. When everything he's been through starts to catch up with him will he be able to hold it together or will he fall apart in front of everyone? And is the corrupted side of him willing to help him?
