One is a journalist who writes about movie stars. The other is a movie star who hates journalists. Now their worlds are colliding. Reagan Porter is a small town journalist married, in every sense of the word, to her work. When everything that could go wrong before her Valentine's Day vacation does, she jets off early to the mountains in Asheville, North Carolina for some well-earned peace and quiet. But she'll have to work for it. Violetta "Vi" Dawson is bold, beautiful, and boisterous. At least, that's what the tabloids are calling her. Hoping to get away from the spotlight and her recent break-up with her long time boyfriend, Violetta seeks out The Bearside Hotel which she hopes will allow her some time away to think and reflect. When the two meet after a drunken mishap, Reagan and Violetta immediately butt heads. How else are a journalist and a movie star supposed to get along? On a chance weekend, The Bearside Hotel might just offer each of them a chance at what they've really wanted all along: true love. --- ONC Prompts: 9. For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything. Whispers of a fae-killing monster begin to circulate the Moon Court. It lurks in the woods, feeding off the mana of its victims. Those that go missing and find themselves at the mercy of the beast are never seen or heard from again. Fear quickly takes hold of the fae court; it's only a matter of time before their whole world is destroyed by this creature. However, it offers Vera a glimmer of hope. When she learns of it, she ventures into the wood to kill the beast, believing that she will be able to absorb the magic it has stolen. But the woods are as dangerous as the beast, and Vera soon finds herself lost. In a stroke of luck, she comes across an old manor deep in the forest where a strange boy is sealed away. If Vera wishes to slay the beast, she will first have to uncover the secret of the manor and its prisoner before it's too late. 𝐀 𝐟𝐚𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜. 𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭. The aes sídhe: an ancient race that holds incredible powers, and a rare sight indeed in Ríenne. Maeve, a brash young woman who holds the power of the sun, is one of the few that remain-and, as far as she knows, the only to reside amongst humans. She's content to lead a simple life, working beside the ocean, healing the sick, and caring for her cattle. But peace is a fickle thing, and it flees easily. When a lone sídhe attempts to ravage her town, Maeve's quiet existence is shattered. To protect her home and understand why she's been targeted, she sets off with the aid of Aeden-a stranger who claims to know where to find the answers. It is a dangerous, long journey to the truth: to survive, Maeve must rely on her flame and new companions more than ever before. As much as she wishes it were otherwise, the world is at stake.

Esternia is a land of cycle. Of balance and rebirth. Whether Human, Eunsi, or Demon, the three territories know this, ruled by the Cearte to forever uphold the thin line between life and death. Esternia and Astren. But Gavin was born a Dávoln: a race of two souls whose very existence spites the gods' wills. He should've been killed at birth, but now it is far too late, he and his Demon sentenced to eternal punishment at the Cearte's hands. Escape was pointless, the enemies' power spreading far beyond the confines of his dungeon cell. That is, until he meets Aoife, a girl with strange, purple fire that defies all rules of magik. She is ridiculous, naive even, but she is powerful: enough to get him out of there. Enough to challenge the very system the Cearte fight so hard to protect. And after all, it's not as though Demons are the only ones who can form deals.

Nathan has spent his life trapped; Asher has spent his running. Both are hunted for powers beyond their control, and both have found themselves in a world they know nothing of. With danger lurking in every shadow, the two will need to forge an uneasy alliance to survive. Perhaps, together, they may discover what they fight so hard to live for. An AU/Crossover between @SpruceWolf's A Touch of Darkness and my own book, Solivagant. Spoilers abound for the former. Read AToD first: I highly recommend it :D This beautiful cover was done by @Dayisdemigod!
