[EDITING] Kreelah's Aunt Hettie, a magistrate from their former cob village, vanished one day, kidnapped and held deep in the bog by the creatures of Bogh. There she finds giving up her activist role, with all that she knows of the past and the future, might just be a task she's simply not up to-especially when her goddaughter / niece, Kreelah, whom she loves very much, is threatened and can no longer hear, in fact cannot even see her. Hettie's now determinedly bound to find her way out of the swamp or at least to get through with some kind of a warning, before Kreelah too winds up where she is!
