// Sequel to Unmasked and Unmarked "Where is your courage, your strength? Where are your loyalties? Because mine are right here, with the Clan, and I would die fighting for it if necessary." Shademask remembers DarkClan all too well and is still tormented by the things he did under Dawnstar's reign. Though well-respected in the newly formed RockClan, he doubts his own worth and loyalty as a warrior - especially when the dead come to haunt him. Skypaw knows of DarkClan only as an outsider, once a kittypet and now part of the reborn Clans. Her new life in SeaClan is exciting but dangerous, and the comforts of her old home prick at her memory. There are some who would want her back, leading her astray from her new allegiance. Rosekit does not know of DarkClan at all, or the father who refuses to claim her as his own. Constantly overshadowed by her sister, she is not sure where her place in MoorClan is, or if there simply isn't one for her. Promises of safety and belonging may prove hard to reject if offered. Though DarkClan has ceased to exist, its remnants continue to float beneath the surface, threatening to break the bonds being forged. There is a thin line between the darkness and the light, and the making of a new life and stirring up the ashes of the old.

As the founder of CloudtailGrandmas, I felt the need to tell the truth about how CG nearly closed and the admins waged war on one another over the fate of the account. Here is a 100% accurate tale of the events that occurred. It was all Moon's fault.

Everyone knows the Wyatt twins as Samantha and George, but only the two of them know each other for who they really are: Sam and Rose. The twins have always known that their genders are flipped, and they know how important it is to keep this fact a secret. With inattentive parents and no friends to speak of, this hasn't exactly been difficult so far. They go through life with two simple rules: stick together, and trust no one else. But their first year of high school brings unexpected challenges that threaten to tear the twins apart, and before long, keeping their identities a secret becomes the least of their worries. When an unthinkable tragedy occurs, they're both left to worry not so much about staying together, but more about staying alive.

"It is forbidden for a reason, young one. Love makes you weak, a fraction of yourself. It keeps you from being the best you can be and that is why we must mask it. Ambition, intelligence, strength - now those are qualities that will get you through this harsh life. But being loving, compassionate, kind? Those are the best ways to get yourself killed." Generations after the Masked Uprising and the fall of StarClan, DarkClan's way of life is no less harsh. Emotions are strictly forbidden and any talk of the Old Life is considered treasonous and punishable by death. It is in this cruel setting that Nightpaw finds himself apprenticed to the only cat with an ounce of freedom: the truth-teller, a cat specifically chosen by the Masked to remember the history of DarkClan. Yet, Nightpaw doubts the truth in the truth-teller's stories and finds them even harder to reconcile when he is visited by someone he'd been taught no longer exists. Caught between fear and curiosity, the truth-teller's apprentice finds himself stuck between two versions of the Clan's history - two truths where there should only be one. And he will stop at nothing until the truth is unmasked. // I have the story rated as teen. Please be warned that there will be a lot of bloodshed and dark matters discussed in this novel.

A sickness - like a mere case of the chills or a minor whitecough in a patient - is often something a medicine cat can easily fix, with some leafy catmint or perhaps a pawful of feverfew. It is vanquished effortlessly, and the illness is gone. It does not come back unless someone receives it again. But when the Clans have contracted a terrible sickness, StarClan has not answered for moons, and they are losing numbers quickly, nobody knows what to do. The medicine cats have done all they can for their Clanmates, however, nothing has worked. No longer outside the elder's den lay a lazy, gray-muzzled cat. The nursery, ever so faintly smelling of milk, only contains memories of what used to happen in the usually cheery den. The warrior's den only have three or four inhabitants, each of which thinks grimly of the day that the sickness could come upon them. The apprentice's den, in some Clans, has one cat who comes to sleep in it each night, cold and alone. Others are empty, filled with grief for lost futures. Leaf-fall has tumbled upon the Clans. Leaf-bare approaches, peeking over the treetops some mornings. This awful illness has lasted since Green-leaf and, still, with the medicine cats searching every day and the warrior's eyes peeled for it, a cure has not been found. However, each Clan has a reason for StarClan not answering them, and they mostly stick to it. Withering herbs, Clanmates, may wilt until they are nothing but a pile of dust, blown away by wind. { Copying of any sort is NOT PERMITTED. } { The cover is made by the lovely @Talfli - go give her a follow & some votes. } { highest ranking: 40 in warriorcats | 1 in warriorcatsfanfiction }

// Sequel to Unmasked "Are you not listening? We don't have time. The longer we wait the more of our own die. They grow stronger every day - the newest batch of apprentices will be trained in assassination, for StarClan's sake! And if they have the ability to pick us off, one by one, then who will remain to put an end to Dawnstar's reign?" Dewkit knows very little of the rebellion his mother took part in. For him, home is the brick walls and cardboard dens of the alley cat camp; a loving mother, a host of friends, and a just leader. Here, his twisted back leg and crumpled ears are of no significance - until the poison of DarkClan begins to spread closer and closer, endangering this peaceful life and bringing with it the threat of war. Lightpaw trains hard, day and night, to live up to DarkClan's standards - and her mother's and father's. Yet, as Dawnstar's cruelty grows and darkness looms over the Clan, Lightpaw finds herself wondering if the stories she heard from Nightchaser as a kit could have any truth to them. Her thoughts put her at risk, but can she truly live out her days as nothing more than a pawn in Dawnstar's game?
