What had happened was every child's nightmare, a terrifying story come true, and it's something that has haunted me for many years. Nobody believed me. They all said I was making it up for attention, telling me over and again that it was all in my head. Then I joined Queen as their new bassist and the beautiful front man, known as Freddie Mercury took me under his wing with promises to keep me safe. He was the only one who understood my fears.
