"I'd give it all up for you, Avery," Finn urges. His hands are gripping onto my cheeks and I don't know why I'm letting him get so close to me when I told myself I wouldn't let this happen. All I know is that I could cry at his touch. I miss him so much. "The job, the team, everything," he continues. I swallow the lump in my throat as my eyes dart between his. He seems so desperate and I want to sock myself in the jaw when I'm tempted to wipe the single tear that fell to his cheek. "Because I've seen what it's like to live without you. I know what it's like to see you with someone else, and nothing is worth that. Not even the NHL." The sequel to Ice.

"It's kind of ironic, you know? My life has always revolved around being on ice. It only makes sense that I met the girl I love after she slipped on the only patch in the parking lot."

Summary. This is a teen romance about Rose, a 17 year old girl who lost her mom two years ago in a tragic accident. Rose's mom always wanted her to be a champion figure skater, it was Rose's dream too, but then a tragic accident forces Rose to box away her dreams and hide from the painful reminders of her mother. The story begins on the day of Rose's first competition since the death of her mother. As she is getting ready to face her fears she runs into Aaron, the schools popular ice hockey player. Rose has had a crush on Aaron for practically her whole life, but even she knows there's no way that Aaron could be into her. Or is there? Trigger Warnings. This story tackles issues of grief, loss and death. There is a fair bit of swearing and some violent scenes. It also may contain some mature scenes, but I will always put a warning at the beginning of the chapter, so feel free to skip them.
