Mila's got more baggage than she can handle. Jamie's looking at a future she isn't sure she wants. Artie's running out of time to turn her life around. Mila, Jamie, Artie, and Olivia were best friends up until their sophomore year of high school. After a few minor falling-outs and a couple of major lifestyle changes, their quartet slowly disbanded and the four girls went their separate ways. But now, it's the summer after high school, and one of them is dead. In this average southern suburb, the three remaining girls feel like they're about to explode as they mourn their friend's death and try and figure out what to do next. How could anyone understand what they're going through? Why do people always think they know what's best for you? What do you do when you have nothing left to work for? As the quartet-turned-trio finds strange comfort in each other's company once again, they must also come to terms with the choices they've made, recognize who they've become, and, ultimately, discover who they're meant to be.
