Complete with tears and pain and screaming at each other until your throat is raw and your eyes burn and you hate them but you love them and you just can't stop. Complete with white lies and gray lies and black lies, with betrayals and the hopeless kind of desperation that comes with lying the whole night awake, alone, and crying yourself to sleep. It's a story about never saying you're sorry but showing it, every day. Proving it and proving you're worthy of their love, choosing it time and time again. It's about love and trust and life. (And super heroes. Of course it's about super heroes.) ... my entry for #ValentinesContest2019 and i have to confess that this summary only shows the theme of what my story is supposed to be about. in truth it's mostly about a villain having been at the mercy of some heroes and his boyfriend coming to rescue him. for those with a sensitive stomach or just people that don't want to read about these kinds of things: blood gets mentioned a whole lot, as well as the almost-graphical description of cauterizing a wound, allusions of torture and violence. and the mc thinks a lot about dying, so if that's not your cup of tea i suggest you skip this :)
