He worked so hard to become what they wanted only for a repeat of his parents fate, as he whom was trusted so greatly turned his back on the golden boy. A killing curse cast just as his back was turned courtesy of the man he'd trusted. The man he'd thought was dead. The man looked down at the boy with a sickening smile. "This is the end I'm afraid, Harry, my boy." But they should have learned by now that when it came to Harry, Death had a soft spot. After all, the killing curse usually left behind a body, didn't it?

When Harry Potter goes through his inheritance at 13 he discovers that his life isn't quite what he thought it was. The people who he thought he could trust have actually lied to him and those he thought he hated turn out to be closer than he expected.
