Newt's travel ban was not in place until after his book was published and he was able to visit Tina in New York before then. They become close, very close, but then, when Newt isn't allowed to leave the country, he is unable to explain the mistake in an article about him. Their relationship falls apart and they don't see each other again until Newt finally tracks Tina down, in Paris. The Fantastic Beasts movies do not belong to me. Newt has returned back to England, but he can't seem to get a certain American Auror out of his head. Back in New York, Tina can't help but think about a certain British wizard. The two become closer over the past year with each passing letter, and after enduring the badgering of his mother, and the pestering of her sister, they realize that they may not be alone anymore.

"Dedicated to: Tina Goldstein, Queenie Goldstein, and Jacob Kowalski, without whom I wouldn't ever be able to bring you this book." This story used to be called Newt and Tina but I've changed the name because it wasn't really much of a title. It was written before the existence of 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald'. Newt returns to New York with the very first copy of his book. Nobody knew how long he would end up staying there. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them does not belong to me. Newt has returned to New York after the release of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," and has reconciled with Tina, a girl he loves. When they cross paths once again in London, everything takes a turn for the better. However, not all is as it seems. Dark magic is brewing, not doubt due to Grindelwald's growing forces... His forces that lead him to find Credence and form a magical contract. Unfortunately, Credence didn't realize that "dark" was a part of the contract. She felt her hand tremble as she reached for him, but his back was already turned, a sad look in his eyes that reminded Tina of someone wise beyond their years. "It doesn't matter. I'm older now. Bigger. Stronger. He can't push me around anymore," Newt said, every word sharp as a knife. "You don't sound like the kind of person who'd fight against your father." "You don't know me that well then, because I assure you, Miss Goldstein, I am not the perfect man that you think me to be." Warning: No smut, but plenty of smut references, a little alcohol, and a screwed-up family.

"I hoped to explain this to my wife. Is she unable to develop any permanent memories then?" Tina's greatest talent--showing up where she's least wanted--has destroyed her memory, her career, and her marriage. Newt hopes that a cure could be formulated, but the herb he discovered is untested. Still, wouldn't anything would be worth it, for the chance to get his wife back?
