“I don’t know why you have to come or what you have to say but I know it’s not good,” she laughed teasingly. I raised my eyebrow and smiled, “You are right in thinking so. But this is your choice to make; I have a quest in mind which will require your…..skills,” I chose carefully nodding towards her wings. She shifted in her seat uncomfortably before sighing loudly, “I will come.” Standing up I brought her closer and whispered, “You must be sure of this. Your father is against my coming but I believe you will make up your mind.” Nodding her head she held out her arm and replied, “My skills are of your use.” Hyril has always been an outsider, different from her kin; locked away by her father and kept a secret from the rest of the world. But when she meets a dwarf dressed in midnight blue it seems her whole world opens up at her feet.....

The air was laden with heat. The sky was shining brightly. The stars were dancing around the moon above the peaceful kingdom of Lothlórien. The elves were already fast asleep as Irmo ruled over their dreams. The light that lit the majestic trees was faint but enough to grant a safe passage through the night. The guards nodded their respect as a tall grey figure ascended the trees, stepping carefully over each suspended step. The silhouette reached the top of the biggest tree, entering the royal chambers without hesitation as no one dared to stop him or question his presence. The grey figure advanced on the white platform, purposely staying away from the edge. He removed his pointed grey hat and smiled kindly as he approached a small silhouette over the edge of the higher platform. The small woman was lost in her thoughts while watching the stars shine above her head. She seemed at peace but deep down a great solitude gripped her heart. She has been roaming the earth for a long time and yet she did not find her real purpose. As she watched the stars, she couldn't help but ask herself who she truly was. The girl sighed as she tore her eyes away from the sky, feeling the soft blue runes wash away from her skin slowly. The grey silhouette stopped behind her, the smile never leaving his lips as he spoke up for the first time that night. "My dear child." His voice said, kindness filling the air around the two lonely figures. "Mithrandir." The girl answered, a knowing smirk gracing her features as all trace of loneliness vanished from her heart. *************************************************** I do not own The Hobbit or any mentions of any other Tolkien's books. My following words of yore and spite may shock you to the very core. They acknowledge a fact known to few, and even less, known to heart. But please, by the whim of mind and patience of soul, I beseech you to listen all the clear. Tolkien's tale of Middle Earth has fallen from its original translation. His story of Thorin Oakenshield's company once bore truth, but fate was reconstructed in light of a prophecy: The girl born of flame, fostered by the dwarves, royal in her name, and her child's birth. She is the one and only protector of Middle Earth, guardian over Mordor, savior of our royal dwarf. Her knowledge will be countered by family's unknown survival, though fate will turn it right as in sacrifice of her royal line. It isn't just a story, but the Valar's greatest mistake; let the heavens toll loud to save Durin's sons After the war of the ring and the destruction of Sauron, the Valar decided to repeat the past, starting at the union of the company within a small hobbit hole in the typically quiet Shire. Why, you may ask, did they decide to do this? Originally, the Valar had ignored the prophecy stated above (as they had done in the past), allowing the Durin line to be exterminated by the Pale Orc, Azog. However, the reign of Dain and his heirs as they took Erebor's throne turned out to be heartless and cruel, unlike the intended fate of Erebor foretold. Therefore, the Valar decided to turn back the clock, 60 years, giving Gandalf the idea to invite the "girl of fire" to the meeting in Hobbiton. Indeed, this did bring about the intended fate of the Lonely Mountain as well as infinite happiness to the company of heroic dwarves. This is her story, as she sacrificed her line in saving Durin.
