Dobara. Phir se. Again. Once more. |Raqs| Hadeed could hear the cheers of everyone who had caught up. He could hear the bottle of sparkling water being popped. But he could only see her. Brown assessing eyes, narrowed as she smiled with them, full lips and red cheeks and silk like hair. His lips turned up in a smile, at the corners, like he was sharing some sort of joke and then he was stepping forward and she was in his arms and he was spinning her around and oh God. Oh God. This hadn't happened before. He hadn't felt this before. Ever before. |Ba Dastoor| "I don't know. It shouldn't be like this. I don't feel those butterflies when I'm with him. I don't feel giddy in my stomach or excited and jittery. My heart doesn't race." "What do you feel?" Diya couldn't speak for a few seconds. Her mouth would open but the right words wouldn't come out. She wanted to cry pitifully. Because as soon as the words came together, she knew. "Safe." Her voice broke. "At home. Like I've known him forever. Like I could make any mistake in the world and he wouldn't care. Like his arms are the only place I'd ever want to be. Like his words are the antidote to any poison I could think of. Like he and I were made from the same fabric." Her voice trailed off and tears pooled in her eyes. "When he looks at me, I know I'm going to be okay. And if I don't. Then he promises me that he'll make it okay." //// Heavily unedited 😭

Completed on May 29, 2020. ~ "Ap...." (You....) Muntaha couldn't utter anything else as Faris 'shh'ed her. He grabbed her by her shoulders and turned her around. Their eyes met in the mirror and they stood staring into each others eyes for what felt like eternity. Muntaha couldn't handle the heat of his gaze anymore and looked down shyly making Faris chuckle. He moved all her hair to one shoulder and tied the tassel at the back. He then saw the golden neclace lying on the table. He had noticed she never took it off, last night she was wearing this necklace even though she had taken off every other jewellery and makeup which made him hide a smile. He picked up the necklace from the table and tied it around her neck. She, who was continuously looking down with her chin touching her chest, looked up when she felt something cold touching her neck. Her eyes again met his and this time she didn't look down. Actually, she couldn't look down as his grey orbs held her green ones captive. Faris then took something out from his pocket and handed it to Muntaha. She looked at her hand in confusion and realised he put some money in her hand. She questioningly looked back at him who kissed her temple and said, "Apna sadqa de dena." (Give your sadqa.) Crimson tinted her cheeks as he left the room leaving his wife in a whirlwind of emotions. The air around her giggled at the mess of a girl who stared at her husband's back with haya surrounding her. ~ This is a story about an 18-year-old girl Muntaha Saleem trying to follow her dreams. She's managing her grades as a scholarship student of a prestigious medical college. She's a know-it-all with a shy but sweet personality. Throw in Faris bin Zayyad Khan, the male version of beauty with brains. He's handsome, he's smart and he knows that. What happens when the both- the alpha male and the not-so-confident wallflower- are tied together in a knot by fate? This is my first story. Give it a try! :)

Yet, unbeknownst to Anabiya, he's willing to risk it all. Set in the rural areas of PAKISTAN, Ishq Zaat unfolds a social romantic tale of two strayed souls observing a divergent elemental life indulged in desperation, grief, and separation-but, above all, by the selflessness of their ISHQ! * * * The story عِشق ذات mentions materials such as profanities, obscene language, graphic violence, and other mature themes. Is it not love when the two made for one another find solace in each others' eyes? When they don't hurt but rather experience joy together? When they don't burn in the embers of their passion but rather enjoy its warmth? Is it still love if the two are so madly besotted with one another than they couldn't bear to hurt the other? Is it still love if it doesn't hurt? A different kind of love. A normal kind of love. For that which burdens the character of a woman, is not love at all. Following three couples as they not only navigate love, but honor, and pride as well.
