Ever since he defeated Emperor Percival Tachyon more than ten years ago, Ratchet has been more curious of his species than ever. He had so many questions about the Lombaxes; their traditions and the like, but above all, he wanted to know about his family. Every single day, he would sit down and think about how different life would be if both of his parents were still alive. One day, Ratchet walks into the Intergalactic Museum of History and stares longingly at the demolished Dimensionator on top of the bronze statue of Percival Tachyon. He knew that Clank had said that it was broken beyond repair, but he had a rush of overwhelming hope. What if...? Remembering the 3 ¾ Centicubit Hexagonal Washer in his inventory, he decides to secure it into the machine. Would he be accepted if he did this? He places the machine on his head and pulls on the cord... It was about time to go home...

Ratchet and Clank are back on Fastoon, about a year after the events in the game "Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time", and are studying the ruins and looking into lombax culture. They soon discover a research laboratory, containing an ancient portal which sends them careening into an alternate parallel dimension - a place where the normal conventions of behavior, morality, etc. are flipped on their heads, and history has played out somewhat differently. Here they encounter characters who are the opposites of what they are in their own universe, and must deal with each as a result. It will be the beginning of an emotional roller coaster ride for the two heroes! This is the first of what will be a multi-story arc, as Ratchet and Clank stumble through several dimensions while trying to find their way home! PLEASE NOTE: This story has some violence in it, but no gore. There is also a tiny amount of body horror as well as a little cursing. But I hope you'll stay with the story through to the end...I expect you'll be glad you did!
