{CHAPTER FIC, COMPLETED, SADNESS/SLIGHT ANGST/SLIGHT FLUFF/POSSIBLE TRIGGER} So here's the deal: I'm Ian Hecox, and I really wish I wasn't.

They'd always given each other shit. That was just their dynamic. Shayne would pick something and make fun of her for it, and Courtney would call him dumb and give him shit for that. Razzing each other like that was nothing new for them; it was how they bonded. He loved that about them, about her. So, when Courtney stood up and marched off without a word once the production crew gave the all clear - they knew they struck a nerve. Shayne had to ask himself, how the fuck did he of all people not realize that they crossed the line? He didn't know the answer to that. All he knew was that he had to make it up to the most important woman in his life.

David Moss was a self-proclaimed video game expert. He felt like there was nothing anyone could do to beat him. He was overly cocky. That is, until he gets an email, inviting him to be a beta tester for an upcoming game for Smosh Games, a relatively unknown company. He thought it would be fun. He thought he would enjoy himself. Not even the corpse being wheeled out when he was first entering the building was enough to dampen his spirits. He filled out the paperwork, met the company heads, and before he knew it, he was being hooked up to a machine so he could join the game. Once in the game, he meets several other gamers, all exhausted, bruised, and scared. He soon learns the truth. The game was a trap. It was murder trap disguised as a game meant to kill off cocky gamers that drove the rest of the community insane. If you get murdered in the game, you die in real life. The only way out is to defeat all one hundred levels as a team, a single death resetting the rest of the team back to level one. Now, he's on a mission to get out with the rest of the current survivors. To succeed, he'll have to learn a skill he'd never mastered; teamwork. Samantha Topp and her older brother Shayne had always been close. Even as kids they were practically inseparable, mostly because they were into some of the same things. Shayne wanted to be an actor, playing different characters in movies and TV shows. Sam on the other hand...she wanted to make them. She went to Film Camp every year since she was ten, and learned just about everything she could in the art of film-making, from writing scripts and screenplays, to video editing and camera operation. She did it all, and even grew up to attend the USC school of Cinematic Arts. Now graduated from college with an impressive list of skills and credentials, now all that's left to do is find a job, and hopefully one day be able to produce her own products. And who better to hire her then a money-hungry company who can pay one person to do multiple jobs? Sam finds herself working for Smosh, a YouTube channel owned by Defy Media, and coincidentally, the same company that her brother and his best friend Damien currently work for. She thinks that its a dream come true, and from the standpoint of getting to do what she loves with people she cares about, it is. But, needless to say there is a lot wrong with the way this company is being run, and its only a matter of time before their greed catches up with them and everything changes... Including the way that Sam begins to see her and Shayne's long-time best friend Damien Haas.

A night of passion between the Smosh boys and a stranger results in something unexpected and before they know it, the boys are left to raise a baby girl. Ian couldn't be happier, but Anthony is less than enthused. He must learn to live with this new lifestyle and feelings between himself and Ian that have been brewing for years.
