The story revolves around an amnesiac girl named Ryōko Otonashi who is a student at Hope's Peak Academy, and the sharp-tongued Ultimate Neurologist Yasuke Matsuda, with whom she is infatuated. A month after The Tragedy of Hope's Peak Academy, the school is full of unrest and secrets, with many people attempting to find out what truly happened and who is to blame. Despite not wanting any of it, Ryōko is connected to the incident and soon gets caught up in its aftermath, learning more and more about what happened.

JFK and Van Gogh go to the same school, Clone High. JFK, being popular and good looking, is dating Cleo, the clone of Cleo Patra who you can just assume is a snobby perfectionist. Gogh is a shy, lonely guy who usually sticks to the sidelines unless provoked. He's very sensitive but nonetheless shouldn't be underestimated. One day, which seemed like another normal day, they managed to cross paths and one of the two feels something new and unexpected towards the other.
