Lately in Central Command, no one has been safe. An alchemist has been running around, targeting other State Alchemist's. Edward Elric, is next on his list. And Roy Mustang knows. He's just to worried for the boy to tell him. So, he covers up the reasons for his actions with lies. But those lies didn't do a good job of protecting Ed.

"He's the perfect match...." Ed's given a mission to stop the flow of red water. He had thought the situation had been handled, but the water was still there. What started off as a simple mission, escalated into a huge problem. And where does this little problem start? With a boy who has to much Pride.

They say after a tragedy, life gets better. For Edward Elric, it did. After being tortured for a couple days ruined him. But, Roy Mustang swept Ed off his feet and saved him. Then four months later, an old enemy appears. Roy changes, Ed cracks. But once again, Roy fixed him, the piece of broken metal Ed was. Now, it's been five years, since Roy had saved him. Ed's life finally got better. But it didn't last long.

After his failed attempt at harming Ed, the Lightning Alchemist is annoyed. So, he decides to do something new. Meanwhile, Roy and Ed are in a bit of a puzzle when a new subordinate shows up for Roy. Ed is reminded of some unpleasant memories and is slowly forgotten. Things happen, and even Roy changes. Can Ed remind Roy of what they used to be? Or will he die to hands of The Lightning Alchemist?

Edward, Sergeant Brosh and Lieutenant Ross are all captured. When Major Armstrong, Lieutenant Hawkeye, Al and Roy go to save them, Ed is badly hurt. Mentally and physically. He won't talk about what happened. Roy decideds that its his job to fix Ed and over time, falls in love with him

Ed just doesn't understand Roy Mustang. He plays mind games with Ed. And Ed has had enough. One minute, Ed and Roy are fighting. The next, Roy is making a remark, and causing Ed to grow flustered with a furious blush. Its eating Ed up inside. Its all he thinks about it. And Ed has had enough.

It's been about a year since Ed and Al got stuck in the world beyond the gate. They've begun to meet the counterparts to the people they once knew in Amestris. And that even includes Colonel Roy Mustang. For some reason, Ed doesn't stop dreaming about him. He ends up realizing his feelings. But it's too late to tell Roy now. Things change however when Ed meets Roy's counterpart. Memories surface, and so do feelings. Luckily, Ed has Al to help him get through it all.

Edward Elric is one of the most famous Pianist's in Amestris. Only at the age of 15, Ed has made a very good name for himeself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Roy Mustang has never really cared for, or enjoyed music. But his childhood friend, Maes Hughes drags him to a piano competition. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That all changes when he hears Ed play. Now, he can't get those golden eyes out of his head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When the two finally meet, Roy realizes Ed isn't as perfect as he pretends to be. Theres a reason Ed drowns himself in his music. And it's not a happy one either. But Roy is determined to help Edward.

After defeating father, Roy Mustang and Edward Elric live together in house in central. Both have given up Alchemy to protect their adopted son who they named Maes. Alphonse Elric lives nearby, and spoils little Maes rotten. Amy, is Maes's godmother and helps Roy and Ed daily Maes is a small 4 year old boy, who does not feel any different to having 2 fathers, he longs to be like his father and learn alchemy, and even calls his father the fullmetal alchemist during school presentations (he cannot pronounce the world fullmetal correctly, hence the name of the title) However, another war breaks out, and Roy is called back into war. But he is no longer sitting at his desk, Roy is forced to put on his gloves for one final time, and leave Maes and Edward alone...The scars that were healed, are torn back open when he must kill those he thought as friends.
