Detroit, the year is late 2026. Story begins two months before the first attack on Sarif Industries headquarters and continues through the Deus Ex: Human Revolution game events. Laura Werner is a freelance hacker who was hired to gather intel for unknown superiors. Mission supposed to be easy until Adam Jensen - Head of the Security didn't interrupt her plans... This fanfic was based on my comic, but I changed some things, because those who already know the comic may consider reading the same things boring. Also during writing I felt that some scenes would be better and more emotional after changes. I had to make some major time corrections to fit my events and stretched game action to weeks/months not days.
